12 Nov IBN International M&A Conference, Kuala Lumpur, 17-18 November, 2014; ‘Beyond Business School Theories’.
I’m speaking at this conference next week and I’m excited and pleased to be there. It comes as a timely point as BTD continues to expand in the region. Pick up any M&A related press article, blog or news feed and it will tell you that M&A in the AMEA region is on the rise – not only inbound activity but within the region too with particular economic centres such as Singapore quickly establishing themselves as an M&A ‘hub’. Of equal interest is the rise of players in this region looking outward too; over the past year I have been to a lot of European/North American events only to bump into AMEA businesses looking to make their mark in a more global M&A environment.
I am speaking on how to avoid costly pitfalls in the post-merger process. For those that have never heard me speak before then don’t expect a silver bullet, rather my advice is centred on some very simple questions business leaders should ask themselves before they embark on the M&A journey and some easy, pragmatic and practical advice on do’s and don’ts as the M&A process gets underway.
So this year it is going to be exciting to meet people from around the region and share insights, perspectives, meet new friends and re-acquaint myself with familiar faces. I hope you can be there too.
