Analysts question funding, price of Informa buy

According to Acquisitions Daily, shares in the British events organiser and business intelligence company Informa have fallen by around 6% following the acquisition of the US trade show organiser Hanley Wood for £237m (US$371m).

Analysts seem to agree that the deal is strategically coherent, bringing a strong US franchise which the company had long been seeking in the construction and building sector, where it has an established presence in many other countries. But the price looks high, and the decision to finance the deal with a share placing has not gone down well.
